The pilgrimage route of Saint Jacopo

The pilgrimage route of Saint Jacopo travels through the ancient Roman road called Cassia – Clodia. It represents the beginning of an Italian route, which connects the city of Pistoia, the “Santiago Minor”, to Santiago of Compostella. The pilgrims  go across the cities of Firenze, Prato, Pistoia, Pescia and Lucca and they can visit important historical, artistic, natural and religious places.

The medieval village of Serravalle P.se has a primary role: tower of Barbarossa is the only place which the pilgrims can see the beginning and the end of the pilgrimage route from.
