The ancient customs house was in the village named Gabella Vecchia, built at the foot of the castle. Some houses already preserve some ancient inscriptions.
There also is Bottaccio del Frantoio, a romantic stretch of water that provided energy to the water wheels of the jmills and the olive oil mills. The inhabitants could draw only the water that wasn’t used by the miller, according to the rules written in “Statute of Serravalle”.
