The church of Jesus’ Holy Heart

The church was built at the beginning of the XIII century by the parishioners, whose families obtained the patronage, and it became a parish without territory. It was used by them until 1944, when the Bishop Giuseppe Debernardi transformed it into the territorial parish of the Jesus’ Holy Heart thanks to a decree of 30 March. In the center of the facade there is a rose window, while the entrance portal is surmounted by a double cuspidate lunette, where a mosaic depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus is inserted. The natural lighting comes from the rose window and the single-lancet windows on the side walls, the chapels and the apse: all of these ones have stained glass windows painted with religious scenes and are enriched by a gray frame.
